Grandma Smith...aka Smithers

I know this doesn't really count as an update. Today, Deven and I went to his mother's ward Christmas Breakfast. On the way there, we drove past grandma's old house. It has changed quite a bit. I always miss her, but especially during this season. I just wanted everyone who reads this to post a comment of one of their favorite memories of Grandma Smith.

I remember having sleep overs at Grandma's house with Bailee and Haleigh. We would push her old couches together to make a sort of rectangle. We would always watch movies with her and drink Diet Coke. She would make us bread or applesauce cookies. Then in the morning, we'd all wake up together and watch The Price is Right with Bob Barker, I think grandma had the hotts for him. I would always watch grandma do her makeup in the morning, put her teeth in, eyebrows on. She always had to get ready, even if she didn't go anywhere. I miss her. :-(

I have lots of favorite memories of Grandma...but probably my most memorable ones are of me and Shelly sleeping over at her house. Sometimes the next morning we'd get up and "clean" her house for her and she would pay us. We always had diet Coke and chocolate milk (in the Nesquik cup and we'd fight over that gold spoon she had) and I LOVED her applesauce cookies. Also, she always took me shopping on my birthday to LaBelle's or Grand Central and let me pick out what I wanted for my birthday! I love and miss her so much, especially around Christmas!

How about if I just comment on how great of a person you are? I remember the first time I met you and boy did I think 'This girl has the potential to be drama'. Boy if I would have known then what I found out later. I would still be smiling about it all. Luv you and Deven, and I will come visit soon. Oh and FYI anyone that thinks Mckenzie should post her prego pics as the weeks go one say AYE!

I remember having Grandma to Sunday dinner and after she would always sweep my floor. I miss her. I miss Grandpa too. I'm sure they are happy to be together again.

Sooo many memories.. How do you choose! I have the same memory as Kenzie but I have to add to it...

We would alway wear her silky jammies. :) They were always too big for us, so we would just safty pin them shut.

She would always say she would go sky diving with me but she would have to wear brown pants just in case it scared the shit out of her haha

She would "zip" around town in her little white car. And she wasn't a typical old person driving all slow.. she would be speeding like crazy and then try to talk the cop out of giving her a ticket!

The classic Neil Diamond song.. "I'm coming to America"... and then Court would add "In the trunks in all the cars.. I'm coming to America."

The way her chin would quiver as she would sit there listening and enjoying everyone talking. Then someone would say something to her... and even though she didn't hear them she would say, "Oh Ya" and shake her head.

I even remember one time she started to freak dance up on me! Haleigh and Kenzie can vouch for that one. We were at Van Eerden's and a "hip" song came on... Haha I about died!

Love You Grandma
